CALL FOR PAPERS        COMMITTEE        SUBMISSIONS        PROGRAM

Digital Twins (DTs) and Metaverse communication technologies, such as advanced technological means to realize the communications of Intelligent Manufacturing (IM), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and Smart City. The formation of the communication network of the mirror system will enhance the scalability of the system and greatly simplify the setup and maintenance of the communication system. The workshop takes the modern industrial equipment as the application scenario, combines DTs technology with the Metaverse network, and optimizes the design of IM, which has important practical application value. The understanding and practice of DTs of wireless channels are inseparable from specific objects, applications, and needs. From the perspective of application and solving actual needs, the established DTs do not necessarily require all ideal characteristics during the actual application process, but they can meet the specific needs of users. For the future 6G communication, the channel characteristics of the integration of land, sea, and air determine the performance of the entire communication network. It can be said that the channel model is the basis for the performance evaluation of the communication system. Through collecting direct data of limited channel observation sensors, DTs channel can use the IoT, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning and other technologies to realize the evaluation of the current channel state, as well as an accurate prediction of future trends.

DTs channels digitize the historical data and expert experience of wireless channel sensors through digital means. Digital feature models for different phenomena can be trained through Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, and provide the ability to copy, edit, and transfer, forming a basis for accurate judgment of future channel states. As an emerging field, the research and implementation of key technologies of DTs channels need standard reference, and the implementation and application require standard indicators. Similar to other applications, DTs channels also urgently need to establish a corresponding standard system, and comprehensively consider the rationality, completeness, systematization and usability of the proposed system.

This special issue focuses on the communications in Digital Twins and Metaverse. The integrated network for the transfer of elements from a set of independent real space to 3D Virtual World or Metaverse depends on the progress in four fields: immersive realism, ubiquitous access and identity, interoperability, and scalability. Therefore, this Special Issue mainly involves the Digital Twins structure of 5G and later networks, the Spatial Structure and Network Security of Metaverse Networks, the Cyber-Physical System of Internet Metaverse, Cloud Computing, Digital Twins and Metaverse Privacy, Information Security and other fields.

Call For Papers

The understanding and practice of DTs of wireless channels are inseparable from specific objects, applications, and needs. From the perspective of application and solving actual needs, the established DTs do not necessarily require all ideal characteristics during the actual application process, but they can meet the specific needs of users. For the future 6G communication, the channel characteristics of the integration of land, sea, and air determine the performance of the entire communication network. It can be said that the channel model is the basis for the performance evaluation of the communication system. Through collecting direct data of limited channel observation sensors, DTs channel can use the IoT, big data, cloud processing, large sample libraries, machine learning, intelligent computing and other technologies to realize the evaluation of the current channel state, as well as an accurate prediction of future trends. Some channel characteristics that cannot be directly measured can be obtained to support the analysis of 6G communication performance and provide comprehensive decision support. DTs channels digitize the historical data and expert experience of wireless channel sensors through digital means.
